# Notice

This is an independent community project for the Waveshare UPS HAT (E). It is
not produced, endorsed, or supported by Waveshare.

## Upstream Demonstration Material

The tray-widget implementation was derived from Waveshare's `batteryTray.py`
demonstration, distributed from the official UPS HAT (E) documentation:

The PNG files in `gui/images/` also originated in that demonstration archive.
The archive examined during development did not contain a license file or
explicit copyright notice. Those files are therefore identified separately
and are not claimed as original project artwork.

The remaining monitoring, transition-history, service-control, shutdown-policy,
watchdog-guard, installation, and test code contains substantial independent
work, but no project-wide license has yet been selected. Publication of the
source does not itself grant permission beyond rights provided by applicable
law or by the respective upstream owners.

Waveshare and Raspberry Pi product names and marks belong to their respective
owners.
